Set at 1,400m, with a top altitude of 2,550m, Valmorel has gained its reputation of being an excellent family resort.

The centre of the village Bourg Morel,  is totally pedestrianised. After a day’s skiing/snowboarding or walking you can amble through the Bourg with its shops, bars and restaurants and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant village. No need to worry about your car as it would be parked securely in the underground car parks or a number of parking areas around the village.  Accessed either by foot or by the “Télébourg” cable car you can reach the hamlets of Crève Coeur and Mottet.

Due to the design of the resort, there is no need to carry your skis or snowboard to the slopes, as you can ski to your door.Most après ski activities are centred on the pedestrianised Bourg, the main street through the village, where street cafés can be lively as soon as the lifts close. Popular spots include bars like the La Cordee, Le Ski Roc, La Flambee, Le Jimbo Lolo and Perce Neige.  Late night dancing is offered at Les Nuits Blanches nightclub.
