Valmorel Ski Resort
Set at 1,400m, with a top altitude of 2,550m, Valmorel has gained its reputation of being an excellent family resort for a number of reasons. First, the centre of the village is car-free. Second, most of the ski slopes cater to beginners and intermediates. Third, there are areas specially designed for people of all ages to learn. Due to the design of the resort, there is no need to carry your skis or snowboard to the slopes, as you can ski to your door.
Most après ski activities are centred on the pedestrianised Bourg, the main street through the village, where street cafés can be lively as soon as the lifts close. Popular spots include bars like the La Cordee, Le Ski Roc, La Flambee, Le Jimbo Lolo and Perce Neige. Late night dancing is offered at Les Nuits Blanches nightclub.
